Well it's almost Christmas so I thought I'd treat myself to the London 2012 Olympic games edition of The Times Eureka magazine and I love it!

MY WEEKEND IN GLASGOW
I spent last weekend in freezing Glasgow with my amazing family and here's some of my snapshots.
The Willow Tearooms designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1904.
Stolen napkin from the tearoom.
Duke of Wellington outside the Gallery of Modern Art.
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
Scene from 'Night at the Museum'.
BIKE HEAVEN
My latest university project is to create a corporate identity for a chain of bike shops so I popped into some local bike shops for inspiration.

YUM YUM
The Radcliffe Camera in Oxford was designed by James Gibbs and was built between 1737-1749. It now holds around 600,000 books and looks delicious as a cake! It was skillfully created by 'The Cake Shop' in Oxford.
BIRTHDAY CARD - FIONA
After seeing some exciting quilled typography I thought my friends birthday card would be the perfect place for me to have a go.

GET ON YOUR BIKE!
At Snugburys farm they have embraced the olympic spirit and built a 7 ton, 35 foot high straw sculpture! I admired the impressive sculpture whilst enjoying their death by chocolate ice cream (they weren't lying I almost died). The straw sculpture can be seen from the road so if your going through Cheshire keep a look out.

CHRIS GILMOUR
Chris Gilmour is an English artist who creates live-sized sculptures out of recycled cardboard. He recreates every detail of the objects from the precise curves of the shells to every single engine part. The meticulous nature of his work really allows us to appreciate the design of these everyday objects giving them a new life. Take at look at more of his work on his website http://www.chrisgilmour.com/en.opere.html
